The kids and I went on a hunt for a turkey baster today. We went to Walmart and to my astonishment Walmart did not have it. I know shocker huh? Then I went to Kmart. I mean come on everyone knows when Walmart doesnt have it (on that rare occasion) Kmart usually does. So I went to Kmart. They had one...but guess what. If you guessed it was made of metal and cost $8.99 you win. Now if I planned to use this baster every Thanksgiving and Christmas proudly basting my nicely golden turkey...This would be the baste of my dreams. Sadly though I needed it to make a Super Monster Sucker Upper.
You see I was cleaning out my cupboards the other night. To put liners in the drawers and cabinets in my kitchen. Well the kids were in bed and my son who is 2 and is deathly afraid of monsters would not go to bed. I saw the baster rand quickly came up with the idea and story of the Super Monster Sucker. I explained that yes mommy used it in the kitchen but it is just like Superman and wears a disquise. I also told him that this baster could suck up monsters and send them back to Monster Town where their mommies would spank their butts for scaring him. Amazingly it worked. So today we were looking for on for my 3yr old daughter and some stuff to decorate the Monster Sucker. You see unfortanetly there was only one baster and my daughter had to settle with a serving spoon with holes in it that was actually a Monster Butt Whooper. She has been for days now desperatly wanting a Super Monster Sucker. Luckily though my mom has one at her house. She is away camping this weekend and had drinken a bit. She at first had no idea what I was talking about and didnt (at first) understand why her grandson was sleeping with a baster. Once I explained it wasnt actually a baster she understood and remembered she too had a "baster" at home. So off to Gramma's tonight to get a Super Monster Sucker Upper. I know the day will soon come when my 1 yr old daughter will also want one. Luckily I can ask my mother in law for her "baster". That or my daughter will think her mommy and brother and sister are completly crazy. Which heck according to my mom "we all have our weird things"..haha.
Well I am off to decorate my son's Monster Sucker Upper..oh Super Monster Sucker Upper. I keep getting corrected by him. I will post pictures for the only one that ever reads this...my husband.
